Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
Students that are currently holding an Indonesian citizenship
Students that are already accepted on one of the Master course program at one of the 7 Japanese universities including The University of Tokyo, Kagawa Nutrition University, Kyoto University, Ochanomizu University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Waseda University, and Nagoya University for the academic year 2023
Students with 16 years of completed education with an outstanding academic performance with at least 3.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) in the past education.
Students that are not older than or are 35 years old on the 1st April 2023

What degrees are offered in this scholarship?
This scholarship is offered for students that are going to pursue a Master degree or research program at the 7 Japanese graduate schools including The University of Tokyo, Kagawa Nutrition University, Kyoto University, Ochanomizu University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Waseda University, and Nagoya University.

What are the scholarship benefits?
Monthly living allowance

How long is the duration of scholarship?
The scholarship benefits will be given depending on the program chosen by the scholarship awardee
Awardees that choose to pursue a research program will accept monthly living allowances for 1 year. While the selected applicants that choose the Master’s course will receive the monthly allowance for 2 years
How to apply?
Fill in the application form provided at Ajinomoto official website
Prepare all of the required documents, including legalized score transcripts from the past institutions where applicants have graduated from, a letter of recommendation from the applicants academic advisor, a letter of statement including the assignments given, and Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), EJU (Examination for Japanese University) or other Japanese proficiency test certificate
Some applicants might need to submit extra documents if it is required by the course program the applicants are applying for
Submit all of the hard copy of the required documents to the Ajinomoto Visitor Center at Karawang before the closing date of application
How does the process of selection go?
The selection process will be done by the Ajinomoto Foundation and the University that the applicants are applying for
Applicants that are going to be selected for the scholarship must have already been accepted by one of the course program provided in the 7 universities
When is the deadline for application?
The submission of application documents should be done before the 6 March 2023.
